Kimberlee Nicholls

Winemaker

Kim is a chemist full of energy and life, with a long history in Napa and a deep love of Merlot. As one of the first female winemakers in the Napa Valley, she is highly respected in the area. With three decades of experience under her belt, we are thrilled and humbled to have her on our team. Her food-friendly winemaking style is fueled by a love of cooking and the connective ritual of pairing lovingly prepared food with artfully made wines. Kim is an integral part of Markham’s story and has greatly contributed to our countless accolades and enduring place as one of Napa Valley’s great wineries.

Abigail Estrada

Associate Winemaker

An avid traveler, Abigail has worked harvests from Napa to Italy to Israel. She first joined the Markham cellar in 2017 as an enologist, and returned to the winery in 2021 to become our Assistant Winemaker. Her favorite thing about winemaking at Markham is the innovation and willingness to try new things and, of course, how food-friendly the wines are.

Patricia Sciacca

Senior Enologist

A Napa Valley native, Patricia grew up on Atlas Peak high in the Vaca Mountain range that forms Napa Valley’s eastern edge. She earned her degree from Cal Poly SLO, where she developed a fascination with the effects of chemistry on the sensory aspects of wine. When not immersed in the cellar or lab, she enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking or fishing with her husband … or relaxing with a glass of wine alongside her tiny grey kitten Murphy and not-so-tiny rottweiler Magnum.

Taylor Abudi

Viticulturist

Taylor discovered her passion for science at an early age, and pursued a degree in viticulture & enology at UC Davis – which combined her love of science and the outdoors. After graduating, Taylor worked the vineyards of New Zealand, France, Australia and Oregon, where she learned that it always comes back to ensuring the land is well cared for.

Adrienne Uboldi

Director of Operations

A fourth-generation farmer in NorCal wine country, Adrienne Uboldi’s affinity for nature and the outdoors led her to study plant science at Cal State Chico. She joined Markham Vineyards in 2019 as the Vineyard & Sustainability Manager before transitioning to a leadership role in Operations. Adrienne focuses on identifying ways to maximize efficiency and improve processes, starting in the vineyards and culminating in each bottle of Markham Vineyards wine.

Dena Chiappulinni

Events Manager

Dena is our boot-wearing event wizard. Her creativity, organizational skills and easy spirit have earned her a we-couldn’t-have-done-it-without-her reputation from past event guests. With grace and style, she’ll guide you through designing a memorable experience in one of our historic winery settings. Be forewarned: after working with Dena, there’s a very likely chance your guests will request you make your event a tradition.

Greg Strange

Wine Club Manager

Greg is one part wine geek and one part hospitality expert, making him an excellent caretaker and guide for our extended Markham family. He is your wine club membership guru and guide. His motto is “keep it flexible”, which means he’ll do his best to get you the wines you want, when you want them. Greg also is a treasure trove of knowledge about our heritage and wines. Don’t be afraid to quiz him, you won’t be disappointed.
