At the northern edge of the valley, Calistoga is one of the warmest and driest of Napa’s sub-AVAs.
Bordered by mountains on three sides, soils are primarily volcanic.
Daytime temps of 95-100°F are moderated by tempering wind and fog that flow through the Chalk Hill gap, falling to low 40s at night.
