Full of macerated blackberry preserves, violets and sassafras aromas, this wine continues to open and show brambly fruit layered over a myriad of spice notes. There is nothing little about the grip this wine has on the palate. The jammy, dark fruit is hedonistic, and the dusty cocoa powder tannins have only improved with age. This nearly ten-year-old wine is capable of yet another decade in the cellar!
